about delivering the
BSF programme
in Bristol

Beginning in 2007, the LEP began delivering the first of four newly built schools (also known as “Pathfinder” schools), each of which includes transformational features that meet the aspirations of the schools and Bristol City Council as well as the objectives of the BSF programme.  Over the 10 years of its contract, the Bristol LEP is working to develop these and other projects:

Pathfinder Schools:

Bristol Brunel Academy (formerly Speedwell Technology College) was newly built and officially opened in August 2007.

Bristol Metropolitan College (formerly Whitefield Fishponds Community School) was newly built and officially opened in July 2008.

Brislington Enterprise College was handed over in August 2008 and officially opened in November 2008.

Bridge Learning Campus in Hartcliffe (replacing both the current Hartcliffe Engineering Community Campus and the Teyfant Community School) is currently under construction, with handover expected in January 2009.
